Inspiration from Destiny Promise Music Entertainment

Destiny Promise Music Entertainment is an inspirational group that has enjoyed success in UK, Africa, as well as some Southern US States. They have released a new single called “Victory in God.”

We recently spent time with group member Brandy N. Lee. She performed lead vocals on “Victory in God” as well as a previous release called. “You Deserve the Glory Lord.”

Brandy N. Lee started singing at very young age. Gospel music has always had a profound effect on her soul. This lead her having an important part in starting a new independent label. She was nice enough to answer a few questions for Hits You Love.

Tell us about your musical background.

WELL I HAVE BEEN WRITING MUSIC FOR YEARS. AT 12 I ACCEPTED MY CALLING IN SINGING, AND I HAVE BEEN SINGING AND WRITING SONGS EVER SINCE. HAVE ALWAYS LOVED GOSPEL/CHRISTIAN MUSIC.. ITS SPEAKS TO MY SOUL AND IT COMES FROM MY LOVE FROM GOD! SO IN 2014 WE STARTED OUR INDEPENDENT LABEL AND BEEN PRODUCING GOSPEL MUSIC EVER SINCE.

Who are some of your musical influences?

WHO ARE YOUR MUSIC INFLUENCE? YEAH CE CE WINAS, HER BEAUTIFUL AND ANOINTING OF GOD, FRED HAMMAND HIS STYLE IN GOSPEL MUSIC, VANESSA BELL ARM STRONG FOR VERSATILE VOICE, AND EDWIN HAWKINS FOR HIS SOUL IN HIS MUSIC.

Are you looking to remain independent or will you be willing to sign a major deal one day?

WE ARE LOOKING TO EXPAND EVEN THE MORE WITH OUR LABEL. AND WE ARE BLESSED TO BE PLAYING AROUND THE WORLD AND EVEN THE COUNTRY RIGHT.. WE ARE LOOKING TO EXPAND THE MORE RIGHT GOING INTO THE FUTURE. WE GET SO MANY FANS THAT WRITE US FROM EGYPT TO ISRAEL AND IN THE US AS WELL.. “TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOREVER.”

Do you have any advice for any young artist out there?

STAY HUMBLE, PRAYERFUL BUT DETERMINED! NEVER GIVE UP, YOU CAN MAKE IT AND TAKE.. GOD CREATED US ALL FOR HIS GREATNESS. KEEP IT MOVING!
