Twenty-three year old composer and producer ReddVisionBeats is working on a new show. His supports and fans are eager to see what the talented young artist is going to pull from up his sleeve. The show will take place August 9, 2018 in Santa Ana, California.
ReddVisionBeats is the co creator and ambassador of KBA Records. After five successful years of producing, his new show will be a follow up project to his successful December release of the album “PHANTOM.”
We recently caught up with ReddVisionBeats and he was nice enough to take time out of his busy schedule to answer a few questions for us.
What is your music background? Always listened to music growing up, whatever my parents had playing on Saturday mornings in the car. A lot of Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggaeton, and even Baltimore club music. I ended up joining orchestral band at 11. Did it for four years and decided that I wanted to get into producing.
Who are your musical influences? The list is kinda long but really to name a few: Kendrick, J Cole, Timbaland, Boi1da, Lll Wayne, 2Pac, and Biggie.
What are your long-term career goals? In the future I hope I can help to create and be a part of a dope community of producers and artists alike where we can get things done for music, hip hop too .. that’s it.. I feel as if everyone’s battling to get to the top and hey who wouldn’t ? In my opinion having that community would mean so much more. Music’s always been about bringing people together to me.
What type of recording process do you use? Who produced your recording? I usually start by making the beat first. Once I do that I write until I feel it’s complete, set up my equipment and get to work. Recording in dark settings usually helps the mood too. I produced my entire album, did every beat and mix except for “Constellations” produced by Astro.Do you ever get the chance to perform live? I have done small town gigs a few times before and opened up for Curren$y and Juicy J, but never anything with my name on it.
Are you looking for to remian independent or to get a major label deal? I’m looking to remain independent but I am open to deals.
If anything, what would you change about the music industry today? I wouldn’t change much but the frequency in which music came out! I think it’s so amazing when people continue to innovate and create these interesting soundscapes for us to listen to. I’ve always been fascinated.
Do you have any advice for up-and-coming artists? Always stay true to yourself. Allow yourself to be educated. Allow yourself to grow. And allow yourself to be open to new ideas.
Any thing else you want to say on the people? I’m currently in the middle of working on separate albums with Traphouseryan, Eaze, Astro, Kamal Smith, JoshuatheGawd, and Dos Zachys. So a lot of new music on the way. Don’t forget to purchase your tickets to our first show “The PAYBACK” this August 9th in Santa Ana, California. It’s about giving back! Lots of amazing artists coming through. Find me on twitter @reddvisionbeats for more details too!
