Flaw – Forever Loyal And Wise
Birmingham, Alabama’s own Johnny Jerome Myrick, Jr recently signed with GIG Music Group.
Myrick is better known by his stage name FLAW. The acronym stands for Forever Loyal And Wise. His single “Crank me Up” is available now on all major music platforms.
Flaw is heavily influenced by Tupac, T.I., Jay Z, Young Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa and Outkast. His aggressive and dominant style on the microphone is making a mark in the streets from coast to coast.
We got up with FLAW in between recording sessions. Hits You Love Radio was lucky enough catch him when he could take time out of his busy schedule to grant us an interview.
What is your music background?
When I was coming up in the church I was in the choir, and I loved the drums
And different instruments, from then on the sound of music has always stuck with me.
Who are your musical influences?
Well growing up in the mid 90s, I always hung around older cats so Eminem, Tupac, Biggy Smalls, Master P, Jay z, Ja Rule, really influenced my melodic words well put together type of flow.
What are your long-term career goals?
Is to go down as one of greats one day. And to give back to my community, and help kids believe that they too can be anything they want to be in life.
What type of recording process do you use and who produced your recording?
Magnetic tape or a form of audio production was used, and my team Gig Music Group put together all of my masterpieces.
Do you ever get the chance to perform live?
Yes, and when I do its epic.
Are you looking for to remain independent or to get a major label deal?
Right now I’m taking one step at a time through my journey as an artist. So right now I will remain independent until that time comes for me to make a decision
If anything, what would you change about the music industry today?
I would change it by bringing a new sound for the people to experience something that’s different but still modern, and hype!
