Vernon Little New Single: The Chance To Tell You
Written by Staff Writer on March 19, 2019
Holy Hip-Hop artist Vernon Little is on the scene with a brand new jam. “The Chance To Tell You” is a gospel record that packs Golden Era Hip-Hop flavor.
“Double Minded” is the title of the new EP. The Bronx, New York rapper is also a pastor. He has a gift to spread the word of God. Plus, he has enough real Hip-Hop favor to reach specific audiences that others may not be able to touch.
We recently caught up with Vernon Little. He was nice enough to answer a few questions for Hits You Love Radio.
What is your music background? As a kid, I use to sing in the church choir. As a teenager, I started writing rhymes and songs.
Who are your musical influences? The Jackson 5, Crash Crew, Eric B & Rakim, Kool G Rap, Lecrae, Mary Mary, etc.
What are your long-term career goals? To record more music, perform, act, and sign talent.
What type of recording process do you use and who produced your recording? Songs have to come to me. When they do, I structure it, then look for the right music for it. After that, I just go and lay my vocals down over the track.
Do you ever get the chance to perform live? Yes. I’m actually gonna touch the stage at the 2019 McDonald’s Gospel Fest on May 11 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Are you looking for to remain independent or to get a major label deal? I would love for the right major label deal to come along.
If anything, what would you change about the music industry today? I can’t think of anything right now.
Do you have any advice for up-and-coming artists? Learn as much as you can about the industry; continue to hone your craft; develop relationships in the industry, and put God first.
Anything else you want to say to the people? Thanks for checking me out. My current Double Minded EP is available on all digital platforms. Also, you can follow me @vernonlittle7.
