Written by Staff Writer on September 28, 2020
There is brand new music on the BMS Radio Network. “We Fo’ Life” by Brittany Nicole just hit the airwaves. This is a well produced track with a hot vocal performance.
This is the third release from Brittany Nicole’s debut album. The music on this single captures the listener’s attention right away. Plus, the vocal performance is on point.
This jam made its debut on the Dope Urban Jamz Chart this week at Number 33.
We caught up with Brittany Nicole recently and she was nice enough to answer a few questions for Hits You Love Radio.
What is your music background?
Been singing since 10 years old. I’m now in my early 20’s. I joined a few bands along the way as a lead singer. These were local bands that allowed me to vibe with audiences and develop my stage skills as a singer and performer.
Who are your musical influences?
Too many to mention. I am an old soul that enjoys singing Pop/R&B with a style of music that bridges the 80’s & 90’s Funk & Soul groups like The SOS Band and Kool and the Gang. I like today’s sounds from such artists as Ariana Grande, Cardi B., Bruno Mars, and Jennifer Lopez.
What are your long-term career goals?
Having my music played all around the world and sing for a living.
What type of recording process do you use and who produced your music?
Carlos Guillen is credited has writer & producer on every song on this album. As a producer he approaches the album with a need to add elegant touches to my tracks. The results are playlist-friendly and commercially fit mainstream songs. Every cut has a meaning and a place from “Not Enough” breathy vocals to “On my own” which speaks of empowerment. “Broken Heart” and “Play The Fool (For Love)” have an emphatic piano, glossy strings, dreamy guitar, and are nothing short off a Motown feel that are soon to be a everyone’s favorite.
Do you ever get the chance to perform live?
As a matter of fact, I perform live often. That’s the majority of my work and how I got started. I am a performer and a live singer.
Are you looking to remain independent or would you prefer a major label deal?
Independent for now and pushing myself and my team to be the best and achieve our own major recognition.
If anything, what would you change about the music industry today?
More live performances by all the artist. Get out and sing live as much as possible.
Do you have any advice for up-and-coming artists?
Stick with it and continue to out perform yourself. Build a strong team that believes in you and your music.
Anything else you want to say on the people?
I want people to feel my passion in every word I sing. I am an ambitious new artist with an unvarnished vocal that is shooting to be around for generations. Listen to my album and I will find a way into your heart.
