We anticipate that this jam is on its way up.
Mr. Quid got his start in music at a young age. He played the beagle and the drums for his church. He now owns his own studio and record label.
We recently caught up with Mr. Quid. He was nice enough to answer a few questions for Hits You Love Radio.
What is your music background?
I played music since I was little. From playing the recorder in the children’s choir to The Beagle and The Drums in the school band. At about 10 years old, I opted to join the professional music class of The Apostolic Faith Church, the church I grew up attending. But, my Dad felt that will distract me academically. I then pursued a carrier in Physics (BSc) and then a Masters in Oil and Gas Engineering. For about 10 years, I have been working for multinational companies in the Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind Energy and Aviation and Transport industry. The entire time, my passion for music did not diminish. From my first student job, I got myself a Guitar and then a Saxophone, keyboard and drums. I would sing any chance I got be it in a church choir or on the street with street artist. I later got myself a studio and eventually a Music Label. I started producing and managing Artist. I made many songs of my own over the year but was just too scared to release any until the birth of my child. I just need to show her it is okay to pursue your dreams.
Who are your musical influences?
I have been influence by lots of Great artist, but I like Bob Marley, Wyclef Jean, James Blunt, Timaya, Asha, and 2face Idibia.
Are you looking to remain independent or would you prefer a major label deal?
Yes, I will like to remain independent.
If anything, what would you change about the music industry today?
That Independent artist have better reach in the industry.
